Our Story and why we started this blog

Our Journey so far

Following the completion of our MBA, we eagerly embarked on our professional careers at Infosys Hyderabad in India during the early 2000s.

This exciting time marked the nascent stage of Enterprise Solutions, and we were fortunate to have exceptional mentors and colleagues who guided us along the way.

If you are new to SAP, this is a great place to start and get to know why is it so popular.

Although we were novices to technology and lacked experience with enterprise applications, the Enterprise Solution Academy provided us with invaluable knowledge about SAP, including its basic configurations and concepts.

As we delved into our first few implementations, we had to learn and adapt quickly, embracing the challenges that came our way.

Those initial two years laid the solid foundation for our consulting career, allowing us to gain profound insights into the intricate workings of a typical SAP implementation.

We became well-versed in different phases such as business blueprinting, requirement gathering, project realization, cutover, and go-live, honing our expertise and problem-solving skills.

Our roles as SAP Consultants opened up incredible opportunities for us to travel extensively and immerse ourselves in diverse cultures around the world.

We had the incredible privilege of working on multiple projects in the manufacturing and Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) verticals in Germany, the birthplace of SAP.

It was truly awe-inspiring to forge enduring friendships and camaraderie while exploring several European Union countries, including the Netherlands, Denmark, Italy, Spain, Austria, and Switzerland, immersing ourselves in their rich cultures and traditions.

During our brief stint in Singapore, we had the opportunity to work for one of the most popular consumer electronics brands, which exposed us to a vibrant melting pot of cultures.

The bustling city-state left us with indelible memories of its stunning skyline, mouthwatering cuisine, and the harmonious coexistence of different ethnicities.

In Sweden, during a rollout project, we were fortunate to immerse ourselves in Scandinavian culture and witness first-hand the emphasis on family values and the remarkable emphasis placed on health and well-being.

From enjoying fika (coffee break) traditions to exploring the breathtaking nature reserves, Sweden offered us a unique blend of modernity and natural beauty that left a lasting impression.

Portugal, with its rich colonial history and thriving shipping industry, provided us with a peaceful and inviting atmosphere during our intermittent visits for a consulting assignment.

From strolling through the charming streets of Lisbon to savoring the flavors of traditional Portuguese cuisine, every moment was filled with a sense of warmth and tranquility.

One of the most cherished memories was celebrating our son’s first birthday in the captivating city of Porto, surrounded by the picturesque Douro River and the enchanting cobblestone streets.

These diverse experiences across different countries have not only enriched our professional journey but also allowed us to embrace the beauty of cultural diversity and create lasting memories that we will always cherish.

Transition to Managerial Roles

After our incredible journey as SAP Consultants, we made a bold decision to embark on a new and exciting path, venturing into esteemed managerial roles.

Our mission, you ask? To not only oversee the coordination of people, timelines, and deliverables, but to dive deep into the intricate world of managing quality, optimizing profit margins, maximizing project revenues, and meticulously analyzing other crucial metrics that drive success.

This phase of our professional evolution has opened doors to endless possibilities, allowing us to expand our horizons, challenge ourselves, and further sharpen our leadership skills like never before. With each new challenge, we embrace growth and eagerly seize opportunities to make a lasting impact in the dynamic realm of project management.

Career Shift

With a leap of faith and an insatiable burning desire for innovation, we boldly decided to part ways with Infosys, an esteemed IT company.

Shailendu, driven by his unwavering passion for entrepreneurship and armed with years of experience in the tech industry, fearlessly embarked on the exhilarating journey of establishing his own highly successful IT consulting firm.

Meanwhile, Shilpa, leveraging her exceptional program management skills honed through years of dedication and hard work, eagerly embraced a prestigious role in a leading healthcare company, where she could make a significant impact on improving healthcare outcomes.

As we continue to navigate this exciting new chapter in our lives, we remain committed to pushing boundaries, seeking innovation, and making a lasting impact in every endeavor we undertake.

Relocation to the United States

In 2015, we embarked on a new chapter in our lives, relocating to the vibrant Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex area in the United States, which we now proudly call home.

The decision to move was fueled by our desire to immerse ourselves in the American culture and experience it firsthand. As we settled into our new surroundings, we were greeted with a warm welcome from the local community.

The efficiency of decision-making in the US was a pleasant surprise, as we witnessed how quickly things could get done. The openness and hospitality towards newcomers, influenced by the diverse immigrant population, made us feel embraced and supported.

Moreover, the vast distances and reliance on driving in the US were eye-opening. We quickly realized that life in most US cities is quite limited without a driving license and a car.

Navigating through the expansive road networks and exploring the beauty of the country became an integral part of our daily lives.

The freedom and convenience of having our own vehicle allowed us to discover hidden gems and embark on exciting road trips to breathtaking destinations.

Our journey to the United States has been an exhilarating adventure filled with memorable experiences.

It has given us a deeper appreciation for the American culture, the diversity of its people, and the vastness of its landscapes.

We continue to embrace this new chapter with enthusiasm, knowing that every day brings new opportunities for growth and exploration.
